Water Conservation (Kawarau) Amendment Order 2013

At Wellington this 11th day of November 2013
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 214 of the Resource Management Act 1991, His Excellency the Governor-General makes the following order, acting—
(a) on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b) on the recommendation of the Minister for the Environment (whose recommendation has been made in accordance with a report of the Environment Court under section 213 of that Act).
Order
1 Title
This order is the Water Conservation (Kawarau) Amendment Order 2013.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal order
This order amends the Water Conservation (Kawarau) Order 1997 (the principal order).
4 Clause 7 revoked (Provisions for Nevis River)
Revoke clause 7.
5 Schedule 2 amended
Amend Schedule 2 as set out in the Schedule of this order.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, amends the Water Conservation (Kawarau) Order 1997. The amendments are in accordance with those recommended by the majority report of the Environment Court in Decision [2013] NZEnvC 131 (11 June 2013).
Date of notification in Gazette: 14 November 2013.
