Major Events Management (Cricket World Cup 2015) Amendment Order 2014

Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in Council
Pursuant to section 7 of the Major Events Management Act 2007, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government makes the following order, acting—
(a) on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b) on the recommendation of the Minister for Economic Development made after the consultation required by, and compliance with every other requirement for the making of the recommendation that is specified in, section 7 of that Act.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Major Events Management (Cricket World Cup 2015) Amendment Order 2014.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 22 May 2014.
3 Principal order
This order amends the Major Events Management (Cricket World Cup 2015) Order 2013 (the principal order).
4 Clause 3 amended (Interpretation)
5 Clause 5 replaced (CWC 2015 Ltd is major event organiser)
Replace clause 5 with:
“5 ICC Development (International) Limited is major event organiser
ICC Development (International) Limited is the major event organiser of the Cricket World Cup 2015.”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 22 May 2014, amends the Major Events Management (Cricket World Cup 2015) Order 2013 (the 2013 order). The 2013 order declared the Cricket World Cup 2015 to be a major event for the purposes of the Major Events Management Act 2007. The 2013 order also—
identified the major event organiser for the event:
declared the protection period for the event:
declared emblems and words to be, for that period, major event emblems and major event words.
The 2013 order identified the major event organiser as Cricket World Cup 2015 Ltd. This order amends the 2013 order by replacing that company as the major event organiser with ICC Development (International) Limited.
