This order is made under sections 16 and 17 of the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Building and Construction.

Order
1 Title
This order is the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Orders Revocation Order 2017.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 October 2017.
3 Interpretation
In this order, Act means the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013.
4 Revocations
The Orders in Council listed in Schedules 1 and 2 are revoked.
5 Revocation of this order
This order is revoked on 1 December 2017.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 October 2017, revokes numerous Orders in Council that established special housing areas under the authority of the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013 (the Act).
Under section 18(1)(a) of the Act, if an Order in Council establishing a special housing area was notified in the Gazette on or before 15 September 2015, the special housing area was disestablished on 16 September 2016. The applicable Orders in Council are listed in Schedule 1 of this revocation order and are all revoked on commencement of this order.
Under section 18(1)(b) of the Act, if an Order in Council establishing a special housing area was notified in the Gazette after 15 September 2015 but before 16 September 2016, the special housing area was disestablished 12 months after that Order in Council was notified. The applicable Orders in Council are listed in Schedule 2 of this revocation order. The last special housing area established by one of those Orders in Council was disestablished at midnight on 28 July 2017. All of those Orders in Council are revoked on commencement of this order.
The Orders in Council are being revoked because they are spent. See Schedule 3 of the Act for transitional provisions relating to the disestablishment of special housing areas under the Act.
