Pursuant to clauses 6 and 7A of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority makes the following determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum).
Determination
1 Title
This determination is the Local Government Elected Members (2016/17) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2016 Amendment Determination (No 2) 2017.
2 Commencement
(1)
Clause 4 is deemed to have come into force on 5 April 2017.
(2)
Clause 5(1) is deemed to have come into force on 1 February 2017.
(3)
Clause 5(2) is deemed to have come into force on 21 March 2017.
(4)
Clause 5(3) is deemed to have come into force on 14 March 2017.
(5)
Clause 5(4) is deemed to have come into force on 4 April 2017.
(6)
The rest of this determination comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal determination
This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members (2016/17) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2016 (the principal determination).

Explanatory memorandum
This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members (2016/17) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2016, which came into force on 1 July 2016.
All amendments are made at the request of the councils concerned.
The amendments come into effect on the dates specified in clause 2.
