Pursuant to section 67(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the Minister of Police gives the following notice.
Notice
1 Title
This notice is the Land Transport (Blood Test Fee) Notice 2018.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on 16 July 2018.
3 Interpretation
(1)
In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, Act means the Land Transport Act 1998.
(2)
Terms or expressions used but not defined in this notice but defined in the Act have, unless the context otherwise requires, the same meaning as in the Act.
4 Blood test fee (alcohol)
For the purposes of section 67(1) of the Act, the fee for a blood test to determine whether alcohol is present in a blood specimen is $111.99.
5 Blood test fee (1 or more qualifying drugs)
For the purposes of section 67(1) of the Act, the fee for a blood test to determine whether 1 or more qualifying drugs are present in a blood specimen is $668.94.
6 GST included
The blood test fees prescribed by clauses 4 and 5 are inclusive of goods and services tax (if any).
7 Revocation
The Land Transport (Blood Test Fee) Notice 2014 (LI 2014/120) is revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on 16 July 2018 and replaces the Land Transport (Blood Test Fee) Notice 2014, prescribes fees for 2 types of blood test carried out under the Land Transport Act 1998. The new alcohol blood test fee and qualifying drugs blood test fee reflect increased testing costs.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Land Transport (Blood Test Fee) Notice 2018 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
