These regulations are made under section 234 of the Copyright Act 1994 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Copyright (General Matters) Amendment Regulations 2018.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 5 April 2018.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Copyright (General Matters) Regulations 1995 (the principal regulations).
4 Regulation 5 amended (Prescribed bodies for purposes of section 69 of Act)

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 5 April 2018, update the list of bodies prescribed for the purposes of section 69 of the Copyright Act 1994. These bodies can make or communicate copies or adaptations of published literary or dramatic works for the purpose of providing persons who have a print disability with copies that are in Braille or otherwise modified for their special needs, without infringing copyright. A new organisation, Blind and Low Vision Education Network NZ, has been added to the list, the names of 2 existing bodies are updated, and the Wellington Braille Club Incorporated is removed from the list, following its removal from the Register of Societies and Trusts.
