These regulations are made under section 167 of the Land Transport Act 1998 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Amendment Regulations (No 3) 2019.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 10 January 2020.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999 (the principal regulations).
4 Schedule 1 amended
In Schedule 1, item relating to Land Transport Act 1998, insert in their appropriate numerical order the items set out in the Schedule of these regulations.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 10 January 2020, amend Schedule 1 of the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999. Those regulations create offences for breaching specified land transport provisions and specify the penalties that apply.
The amendments made by regulation 4 relate to new provisions in the Land Transport Act 1998 that were inserted by the Land Transport (Wheel Clamping) Amendment Act 2019. The amendments create infringement offences and prescribe infringement fees for breaches of those provisions by persons who apply immobilising devices to parked motor vehicles.
