This order is made under section 2 of the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 (Solid Energy New Zealand Limited) Commencement Order 2019.
2 Commencement of provisions relating to Solid Energy New Zealand Limited
The following sections of the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 come into force on 20 December 2019:
(a)
sections 4(4) and 5(4) (amendments to State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986):
(b)
section 6(5) (amendment to Ombudsmen Act 1975):
(c)
section 7(2) (amendment to Official Information Act 1982):
(d)
section 10(4) (amendment to Income Tax Act 2007).

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 20 December 2019, certain provisions of the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 that relate to Solid Energy New Zealand Limited. Solid Energy New Zealand Limited was removed from the companies register on 2 August 2019. The effect of those provisions is to remove references to Solid Energy New Zealand Limited from the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986, the Ombudsmen Act 1975, the Official Information Act 1982, and the Income Tax Act 2007.
