In regulation 4, replace the definition of annual forage crop with:

annual forage crop has the meaning given by regulation 3 of the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Freshwater) Regulations 2020

In regulation 4, replace the definition of natural wetland with:

natural wetland has the meaning given to natural inland wetland in the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management, except that the exclusion of wetlands in the coastal marine area does not apply

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 5 January 2023, amend the Resource Management (Stock Exclusion) Regulations 2020 (the principal regulations).

The amendments to the principal regulations correspond to amendments made to the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Freshwater) Regulations 2020 by the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Freshwater) Amendment Regulations 2022 and the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Freshwater) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2022.
