This determination, and appended explanatory memorandum, is made by the Remuneration Authority under the Remuneration Authority Act 1977 and clauses 6 and 7A of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002, after having regard to the matters specified in clause 7 of that schedule.
Determination
1 Title
This determination is the Local Government Members (2021/22) Amendment Determination (No 2) 2021.
2 Commencement
(1)
Clause 4(2) is deemed to have come into force on 1 August 2021.

Clause 4(3) is deemed to have come into force on 29 October 2021.
(3)
The rest of this determination is deemed to have come into force on 1 July 2021.
3 Principal determination
This determination amends the Local Government Members (2021/22) Determination 2021.

Explanatory memorandum
This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This determination amends the Local Government Members (2021/22) Determination 2021.
The amendments relating to the Ōtorohanga District Council are deemed to have come into force on 1 July 2021. The amendments relating to the Palmerston North City Council are deemed to have come into force on 1 August 2021. The amendments relating to the Wellington City Council are deemed to have come into force on 29 October 2021.
The amendments in this determination are made at the request of the councils concerned and approved by the Remuneration Authority.
Date of notification in Gazette: 11 November 2021.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Local Government Members (2021/22) Amendment Determination (No 2) 2021 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
