This determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum) is made by the Remuneration Authority under the Remuneration Authority Act 1977 and clause 6 of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002, after having regard to the matters specified in clause 7 of that schedule.
Determination
1 Title
This determination is the Local Government Members (2021/22) Amendment Determination 2022.
2 Commencement
(1)
Clause 4(1) is deemed to have come into force on 25 November 2021.
(2)
Clause 4(2) is deemed to have come into force on 22 December 2021.
3 Principal determination
This determination amends the Local Government Members (2021/22) Determination 2021.
4 Schedule amended
(1)
In the Schedule, Part 1, item relating to Otago Regional Council, replace the items relating to Deputy Chairperson and Councillor (with no additional responsibilities) with:

Explanatory memorandum
This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This determination amends the Local Government Members (2021/22) Determination 2021.
The amendments relating to the Otago Regional Council are deemed to have come into force on 25 November 2021. The amendments relating to the Waitaki District Council are deemed to have come into force on 22 December 2021.
The amendments in this determination are made at the request of the councils concerned and approved by the Remuneration Authority.
Date of notification in Gazette: 17 February 2022.

This is a consolidation of the Local Government Members (2021/22) Amendment Determination 2022 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
