This order is made under section 26(1) and (2) of the Public Service Act 2020 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Public Service (Strategic Planning Reform Board) Order 2021.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 29 April 2021.
3 Schedule 2 of Public Service Act 2020 amended
In the Public Service Act 2020, Schedule 2, Part 3, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 29 April 2021, inserts the name of the Strategic Planning Reform Board into Part 3 of Schedule 2 of the Public Service Act 2020 (the principal Act), as an interdepartmental executive board serviced by the Ministry for the Environment.
The Strategic Planning Reform Board (the board) is being established to lead the development of new strategic planning legislation, as part of the Government’s resource management reforms.
As a result of the order, the board becomes a public service agency to which the principal Act applies. The principal Act governs the board’s responsibilities, powers, and working arrangements, and the selection of board members.

Date of notification in Gazette: 1 April 2021.
