These regulations are made under section 117 of the Animal Products Act 1999—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b)
on the recommendation of the Minister for Food Safety made after complying with section 117(5) of that Act.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Animal Products (Dairy Industry Fees, Charges, and Levies) Amendment Regulations 2022.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2022.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Animal Products (Dairy Industry Fees, Charges, and Levies) Regulations 2015.
4 Regulation 7 amended (Provisions relating to large processors)
In regulation 7(3), replace “medium”
with “small”
.
5 Schedule amended
(1)
In the Schedule, Part 1, replace the item relating to applications for product disposition with:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2022, amend the Animal Products (Dairy Industry Fees, Charges, and Levies) Regulations 2015 (the principal regulations).
The fees in the Schedule of the principal regulations are amended as follows:
the application fee for product disposition is increased from $135.00 per application to $202.50 per application, plus an hourly charge after the first 120 minutes spent assessing the application:
the shift rate for veterinary verifiers and supervising veterinary verifiers is increased from $41.00 to $45.00 above the usual rate:
the circuit charge for verifiers in certain cases is increased from $176.00 to $230.50 per hour.
These regulations also amend regulation 7 of the principal regulations to correct an error.
