Coroners (Forms) Amendment Regulations 2024

These regulations are made under section 140 of the Coroners Act 2006 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Coroners (Forms) Amendment Regulations 2024.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 September 2024.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Coroners (Forms) Regulations 2008.
4 Schedule, form 6 amended
In the Schedule, form 6,—
(a)
after “a coroner (other than myself)”
, insert “or an associate coroner”
in each place:
(b)
after “the coroner”
, insert “or associate coroner”
in each place.
5 Schedule, form 7 amended
In the Schedule, form 7, after “a coroner (other than myself)”
, insert “or an associate coroner”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 September 2024, amend the Coroners (Forms) Regulations 2008. They update warrant forms to include references to associate coroners, because warrants may be issued in certain circumstances where specified notices or directions have been issued by associate coroners.
Date of notification in Gazette: 1 August 2024.
These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Justice.
