Pursuant to section 11(2) of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Order 2007.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 August 2007.
3 Prescribed amount increased
The amount prescribed for the purposes of section 11(2)(a) of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988, in place of the figure of $2,000 (being the maximum value of any item of property in respect of which an order to administer property may be made under that section), is $5,000.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 August 2007, increases the maximum value of any item of property in respect of which an order to administer property may be made under section 11 of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988, from $2,000 to $5,000.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Order 2007 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
