These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2025, amend the Residential Tenancies (Fees) Regulations 1998. These regulations increase the fees payable for—
filing an application with the Tenancy Tribunal (the Tribunal):
inspecting the records and papers relating to an application:
transcribing or copying an audio tape of Tribunal proceedings.
The fees include goods and services tax. They are being increased by an inflation adjustment of 3.65%, which is based on a weighted average of the Labour Cost Index and the Producers Price Index. The new fees are rounded to the nearest dollar.
