This order is made under section 45(2) of the Biosecurity Act 1993 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Biosecurity (Notifiable Organisms) Amendment Order 2025.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 18 December 2025.
3 Principal order
This order amends the Biosecurity (Notifiable Organisms) Order 2016.
4 Schedule amended
In the Schedule, item relating to organisms primarily affecting horticulture, replace the item relating to pepino mosaic virus with:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 18 December 2025, amends the Biosecurity (Notifiable Organisms) Order 2016.
The effect of this amendment is that the duty to report a suspected presence of pepino mosaic virus (PepMV) under section 46 of the Biosecurity Act 1993 does not apply to the CH2 strain of the virus, but does apply to all other strains.
