This notice is made by the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries under sections 11, 13, 14, and 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996 after complying with sections 11, 12, 13, 14, and 21 of that Act.

1 Title
This notice is the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Amendment Notice 2025.
2 Commencement
(1)
This notice comes into force on 31 March 2025.
(2)
However, clauses 3(2) and 5(2) and (3) come into force on 30 September 2025.
3 Application
(1)
Clause 5(1) applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 April 2025.
(2)
Clause 5(2) and (3) apply on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 October 2025.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice amends the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Notice 2015.
Clause 5(1) increases the total allowable catch for spiny (red) rock lobster stocks (CRA7). This amendment comes into force on 31 March 2025 and will apply on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 April 2025.
Clause 5(2) and (3) increases the total allowable catch and the total allowable commercial catch for Pacific bluefin tuna stocks (TOR1). These amendments come into force on 30 September 2025 and will apply on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 October 2025.
