Denise Lee, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Schedule 2
In Schedule 2, new clause 1 of Schedule 21, subclause (4)(b)(v) (page 8, lines 31 and 32), replace “.”
with “:”
, and after subclause (4)(b)(v), insert:
(vi)
understanding of the partnership principles between the Crown and proprietors of State integrated schools.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Education (Teaching Council of Aotearoa) Amendment Bill. It will ensure that when appointing a member to the Teaching Council, the Minister can have regard to the candidate’s knowledge and experience relating to State integrated schools, and how this will contribute to the collective skills, experience, and knowledge making up the overall composition of the Council.
