Proposed amendments
Mahesh Bindra, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 11
In clause 11, after new section 73AAB(1)(page 14, after line 16), insert:
(1A)
The Commissioner must consult with the chief executive of the Department of Corrections before making rules under section 73AA(1).
Clause 18
In clause 18, after new section 74B(1)(page 22, after line 24), insert:
(1A)
The Commissioner must consult with the chief executive of the Department of Corrections before making rules under section 74A.
Clause 30
In clause 30, after new section 80ZT(1)(page 34, after line 18), insert:
(1A)
The Commissioner must consult with the chief executive of the Department of Corrections before making rules under section 80ZS(1).
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends clause 11, new section 73AAB, clause 18, new section 74B, and clause 30, new section 80ZT to ensure that the Commissioner of Police consults the chief executive of the Department of Corrections before making rules under the rule-making provisions proposed by this Bill.
