Explanatory note
This Amendment Paper amends the Education and Training (Vocational Education and Training System) Amendment Bill.
Polytechnics must be adequately supported with the funding that they need if the Government is serious about having polytechnics thrive and be independent. They need a fresh start, and saddling polytechnics with debt as they exit Te Pūkenga will not set them up for financial success.
