Brett Hudson, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 8
In clause 8, after subclause (2) (page 19, after line 20), insert:
(2A)
In section 4A(1), after paragraph (f), insert:
(fa)
a person who is the owner of rural zoned land, or their employee, and who requires a prohibited item for the purpose of controlling wild animals or animal pests on that land:
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends clause 8 of the Arms Legislation Bill to allow an exemption for owners of farms to apply to import, sell, supply, possess, or use prohibited items to control pests on their land.
