These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.
These regulations are made under section 400 of the Immigration Act 2009—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b)
on the recommendation of the Minister of Immigration made under section 403A(1) of that Act.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Immigration (Visa, Entry Permission, and Related Matters) Amendment Regulations 2025.
2 Commencement
(1)
These regulations come into force on 29 September 2025.
(2)
However, regulations 5(1) and (3) and 6(2) and (3) come into force on 24 November 2025.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Immigration (Visa, Entry Permission, and Related Matters) Regulations 2010.
4 Regulation 26AA amended (Prescribed fees (not imposed elsewhere by these regulations))
After regulation 26AA(c), insert:

a check of compliance with conditions imposed under immigration instructions on a Parent Boost visitor visa:
5 Schedule 4 amended

In Schedule 4, under the heading Residence class visa, after the item relating to residence class visa application—Entrepreneur Residence Category, insert:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations amend the Immigration (Visa, Entry Permission, and Related Matters) Regulations 2010 (the principal regulations).
These regulations, apart from regulations 5(1) and (3) and 6(2) and (3), come into force on 29 September 2025.
The following regulations come into force on 24 November 2025:
regulation 5(1) and (3), which amends Schedule 4 of the principal regulations in relation to the fees payable for visas and related matters:
regulation 6(2) and (3), which amends Schedule 6 of the principal regulations in relation to immigration levies.
Regulation 4 amends regulation 26AA of the principal regulations to enable a fee to be prescribed for a check of compliance with conditions imposed on a Parent Boost visitor visa.
Regulation 5 amends Schedule 4 of the principal regulations to require fees to be paid for the following:
a residence class visa application—Business Investor Category:
a temporary visa application—Business Investor work visa:
a temporary visa application—Parent Boost visitor visa:
a check of compliance with conditions imposed on a Parent Boost visitor visa.
Regulation 6 amends Schedule 6 of the principal regulations to require a levy to be paid by the following:
an applicant for a resident visa—Business Investor Category:
an applicant for a Business Investor work visa:
an applicant for a Parent Boost visitor visa.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Immigration (Visa, Entry Permission, and Related Matters) Amendment Regulations 2025 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
