This order is made under section 2 of the Secondary Legislation Act 2021 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Secondary Legislation Act Commencement Order 2021.
2 Commencement of Secondary Legislation Act 2021
Section 3 and Schedules 1 to 32 of the Secondary Legislation Act 2021 (except the items in those schedules that are listed in the Schedule to this order) come into force on 28 October 2021.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings section 3 and most of Schedules 1 to 32 of the Secondary Legislation Act 2021 (the Act) into force on 28 October 2021. The Act is a companion to the Legislation Act 2019 and amends all Acts that empower the making of secondary legislation to align them with that Act.
The items in Schedules 1 to 32 listed in the Schedule of this order are not commenced because the amendments they would make have been overtaken by other recently made legislation. They will be repealed by section 2(3) of the Act without coming into force.
Sections 1, 2, 4, and 6 and Schedules 33, 34, and 35 of the Act have previously come into force.
Section 5 and Schedule 36 of the Act will be brought into force at a later date.
